Why Your Donation Matters
JR Canines is a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit serving one community: Juniper Ridge Resort in Show Low, Arizona. We don't have large corporate sponsors or government grants. We rely on the generosity of neighbors like you to fund the programs that make life better for people and dogs.
Every dollar you donate goes directly to tangible improvements:
- Dog park maintenance and upgrades: Fencing repairs, waste stations, signage, benches, and lighting
- Educational programs: Training workshops, printed materials, and expert presenters
- Community support: Supplies for volunteer initiatives and outreach to seniors and people with disabilities
- Basic operations: Liability insurance, website hosting, and minimal administrative costs
Because we're run almost entirely by volunteers, your donation has maximum impact. We're not paying salaries or funding lavish offices—we're investing in the park, the programs, and the people.

How to Give
We're a small nonprofit, and we're still building out our donation infrastructure. For now, here are the ways you can support JR Canines:
Mail a Check
The simplest way to donate is by sending a check made payable to "JR Canines" or "Juniper Ridge Canines".

Be sure to include your name, mailing address, and email (if you'd like a receipt sent electronically). We will send a donation receipt for tax purposes.
Drop Off in Person
If you're a Juniper Ridge Resort resident, you can deliver a donation in person. Contact us via the Contact page to arrange a time to meet a board member or drop off your contribution at a community event.
Online Giving (Coming Soon)
We're working on setting up a simple and secure online donation option. Check back soon, or contact us to be notified when online giving becomes available.
Donate Goods or Services
In addition to financial contributions, we gratefully accept in-kind donations like:
- Dog waste bags and dispensers
- Tools for park maintenance (rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows)
- Building materials (fencing, posts, gravel)

Consider a Recurring Gift
Recurring donations—even small ones—help us plan for the future. Knowing we can count on steady support allows us to commit to larger projects like new fencing, improved lighting, or expanded education programs.
If you'd like to set up a monthly or quarterly donation, please contact us. We can arrange automatic check requests or work with you to set up a recurring gift once our online system is live.
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Many people choose to honor a beloved dog who has passed away, celebrate a friend's love of animals, or recognize a neighbor who has made a difference in the community.
When you make a donation in memory or in honor of someone (human or canine), we will send an acknowledgment card to the person or family you designate, letting them know a gift has been made in their loved one's name.
To arrange a memorial or tribute gift, include a note with your donation indicating the name of the person or pet being honored and the contact information for where the acknowledgment should be sent.
